For the Neuse river Anthology project, I took pictures of downtown New Bern. The common theme is that they all tie into the history of New Bern. Tryon Palace overlooks the Trent river and downtown New Bern. Tryon Palace is a piece of history from before the revolutionary war and the river is the one constant that never changes. I also have photos of the Neuse river waterfront from a few years ago to demonstrate how it has changed over the years. The skyline has changed, as well as the bridges and buildings, but the river remains the same. I also want to show how many people still love the Neuse river and what better way to show it, than by the people who reside near and around it. To do this I took some pictures of historical sites, such as bridges, cemeteries and of course, such local icons as the original Maola and Pepsi plants. I also thought it necessary to show the connection between the local community and the military. To do this I took pictures of military aircraft displayed in and around New Bern. New Bern is a beautiful town with a lot of History and I hope I demonstrated some of that in this project.
